For multiple copy purchases, Innovative Hydraulics offers two methods of purchasing the software at discounted prices.  The first method is a volume discount for multiple license purchases.  These costs are outlined below:

Network License Fee Discounts

The other method for purchasing and licensing Visual Hydraulics is through a network license.  A network license involves purchasing a certain number of "seats", and the number of seats is how many individuals can use the program concurrently.  There is no limit to the amount of copies you may install on individual computers, only a limit on how many people can use the program at the same time.  In other words, if you purchase a network license with 5 seats, you can install the program on as many computers as you want, but only 5 people will be able to use the program at the same time.  A license file is installed on the network, and each time someone runs Visual Hydraulics the program finds the license file and "borrows" a license from the available pool of licenses.  In the example above, if 5 people were already using the program concurrently and someone else attempted to run the program, that person would receive a message stating that all licenses are currently in use and that person would need to try again later when someone else closed out of the program.

Pricing for the network license is based on the number of seats, not on the number of computers the software is installed on.  It should be noted that for the network license option, a minimum of two (2) seats must be purchased.  Prices for seats for the network license are as follows:

Cost savings examples for multiple copies purchased:

Customer wants 10 copies of Visual Hydraulics, and projects that no more than 4 people will need to use it at the same time.

Option 1 - Purchase 10 copies: $895.00 x 10 = $8,950.00

Option 2 - 10 copies with multiple copy discount = $800.00 x 10 = $8,000.00

Option 3 - Network license with 4 seats (unlimited copies) = $1,350.00 x 4 = $5,400.00

In this scenario, the customer would be better served by purchasing a network license with 4 seats, under the assumption that no more than 4 people will be using it concurrently at the same time.

The network license installation will only work on a local area network (LAN) system, not a wide area network (WAN) system.  Installation of the network version is the same as that of the single user version, with the exception of the license file needing to be stored in a folder location on the network that is accessible to all users of the software.  Directions on how the network license works and how to install the network license for Visual Hydraulics can be accessed from the following link:

Academic Version

Visual Hydraulics can be an excellent learning and teaching tool for students studying about the hydraulics involved with water and wastewater treatment.  Innovative Hydraulics offers an academic version of the software at a discounted price.  The academic version has less special features than the full version and no reporting capabilities but does offer all of the hydraulic units and options that come standard with the full version.  In addition, with the software's unique summary and equation features, students can directly see the process used by Visual Hydraulics to perform various calculations.  The academic version can be purchased as a standalone version or as a network license.  If the network license is chosen, a minimum of five seats must be purchased.  Pricing for the academic version is as follows:
